BCBS has requested that they correct the claims and Quest Diagnostics did not do so and resubmitted the same claims. I got my labs drawn in ******- which is the only thing that matters: Is where I physically went to to get the labs done. Well, I did not get labs drawn in *******. I went on 3/4/23 for my labs and insurance was billed "out of network" by Quest for the reason that my provider lives in *******. I have Premera BCBS through my ******* employer and verified on the website, phone app, and via BCBS employees that Quest Diagnostics on Laurel ****** is in network. My ******* medical provider ordered labs for me which I had done in the state of ******. I have medical providers in both states and ironically, I am also a medical provider. I shouldn't be the scapegoat because Quest can't get their billing straightened out! PLEASE HELP!!! Note that the same tests were run through my doctor's ****** and were paid by the plan without any issues. The plan will pay for these tests, and I am 100% covered, if Quest will simply submit them correctly for payment. By doing this, it has completely ruined my perfect credit rating.Quest still won't change the way they bill even though my plan has been in contact with them for several months, and I am stuck in between. Since it still isn't paid, Quest sent my account to a collection agency. My plan even has one person dedicated to resolving this problem, but it is not getting resolved. ******** won't pay the bundled codes submitted, but will pay when they are submitted separately (~$150).Quest refuses to make the change and resubmit, so it hasn't been paid, even though I have contacted my ******** plan and Quest numerous times, and each time I call my plan, they call Quest. Quest billed the claim incorrectly through my ******** Blue Advantage plan, by bundling codes instead of submitting them separately. I had some labs drawn on at my PCP's ******, and they were sent to Quest Diagnostics. Im very upset that no one can seem to figure out where the money I paid went and if this is not resolved then Im stuck paying a loan company ONTOP on paying the remaining due to quest diagnostics though it was already paid. He was really no help with trying to look into any other areas to where there could have been a mixup but seemed like I was being rushed off the phone and kept being repeatedly told that I have a balance and havent paid any money. This representative told me that money clears in 24 hours, therefore the $245 should have showed way before my account was charged again for another monthly fee that I didnt need to pay at that point. I had emailed over proof that my account on my end for ********************** showed ZERO and an email from my loan company advising quest diagnostics DID in fact take the money. I called customer support and was told I havent made a payment on my account which was a lie and I asked where the money went that I paid, just to be told I dont know, but you still have a balance. Come to find out that a couple days later quest diagnostics took out my monthly payment though I already paid the balance in full. I PAID them the remainder balance due on April 23rd and it was confirmed by my loan company that Quest diagnostics DID take the money from them on April 25th. I had about $245 remaining on my balance and it was a few days before my monthly payment was to come out for quest diagnostics so I had went through a loan company to obtain $245 so it was an easier monthly payment on my check book than what quest diagnostics was having me pay. I had set up a payment plant to ensure that my payments were being made and the company was obtaining their money. I have been working with this company to pay off a bill from previous labs I had done.
